Hair Types
Within the world of hair, there are four different hair types. These different types range from straight hair to coiled hair and help define what kind of routines and products may benefit your hair. Within the four different hair types there are also three different sub categories, A,B, and C. These tell us the definition of your hair or how tight your curl gets within your hair type.
TYPE 1
Type 1 hair is best described as straight hair. This hair type does not have a curl pattern to it.
TYPE 2
Type 2 hair is best described as wavy hair. When moving along the A, B, C spectrum, the hair gets a more defined wave as it gets higher in the alphabet.
TYPE 3
Type 3 hair is best described as curly hair. This hair type has a loose spiral. When moving along the A, B, C spectrum, the hair get a more defined curl.
TYPE 4
Type four hair is best described as a coil. This is a much tighter spiral and get much tighter as we increase through the alphabet.

Although hair type is a good place to start when you are learning to understand you hair, there are many other factors that come into play.
